Billy Congreve

Major William Billy La Touche Congreve VC, DSO, MC was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

His widow bore a posthumous daughter, Mary Gloria Congreve, bornMarch 1917. Pamela Congreve later remarried, to Brigadier the Hon. William Fraser, in 1919.
